Within our open hours you are welcome to drop in for a cup of coffee, use a computer, or make an appointment for a chat or consultation. You can also call us. Find our contact information here.
The first time you visit us, one of our staff will greet you and get to know you. After that, there are no obligations.

We can also meet outside Aksept.
Aksept offers a range of courses for people living with HIV. The courses are linked to Aksept’s vision that everyone should be able to live a good life with HIV in their close relationships and in society. Many of the courses are provided in a language adapted to the language of the participents.
Since 2011, Aksept has been providing services specially for children and young people living with HIV. We are in touch with children and their parents, and organise get-togethers for this group. For older children, we organise an annual autumn get-together over four days.
All of these events are for people from all over the country. We pay for travel, accommodation and food. For young adults up to the age of 30 who live in and around Oslo, we have regular social get-togethers every other month. We eat together and do a range of activities. We also have a Christmas party for children. See the dates in our calendar, or get in touch with us.
We have set up special user groups who meet regularly at Aksept or in other locations. These include our MSM group, Male Migrant group and Mothers and Children group. We also provide other services for children and young adults. In the groups, participants share their experiences and help each other with real-life problems. Get in touch if you want to join one of these groups, or would like to suggest starting a new one.

For professionals
Our training provides basic knowledge about HIV and what it is like to live with HIV. The courses/training can be provided where you are based, or on Aksept’s premises in Oslo. We can also visit and give talks or lectures at specialist seminars.
Aksept has work placement schemes for healthcare and social workers. People on work placement will get a thorough grounding in our working methods and be able to bring important knowledge to the healthcare and social services sector about HIV and living with HIV. The work placement scheme is equivalent to individual clinical supervision, and leads to the equivalent of four hours of supervision for the Norwegian Nurses Organisation’s approval as clinical specialist in nursing.
We offer internships for students doing health and social care courses.
