At our office in Bergen you can pick up free condoms, lubricants, hand sanitizers, alarms, sanitary wipes, face–masks and brochures with information material. We can arrange contact with clinics in Bergen where you can get tested for sexually transmitted infections. If you need a doctor, dentist, psychologist or anything else, ask us.
Fri offers support for health services and other practical help for taking care of one’s own health. For questions about Covid-19 and rules related to infection control, FRI can assist with updated information in different languages.
Legal aid and guidance
Fri offers free legal aid and guidance by lawyers affiliated with the Street Lawyer (Gatejuristen) in Bergen. Our lawyers can assist with issues in all areas of law, including immigration law, criminal law, family law, rent and tort law (law of wrongful injuries). Our lawyers can assist you with for example: appealing decisions from public bodies, providing information about taxes and VAT regulations, applying for compensation from public compensation schemes such as compensation for victims of violence, assisting in reporting criminal cases.
Talking to us and getting information
You can talk to us and get guidance. You can talk to FRI about topics such as physical and mental health, stress, violence, security, selling sex, finances, and migration. You can contact us if you need information about your rights, obligations and legislations. We have a duty of confidentiality and you can choose to remain anonymous.
Fri’s outreach
- On the streets: Fri is an outreach program aimed at people who sell sexual services on the streets in Bergen City Center. We work every Friday night on the streets. On the streets, we give information about our offer, establish contact and provide instant care. FRI distributes condoms, lubricants, alarms, hand sanitizers and other equipment.
- At massage parlours and other indoor places : Fri is a outreach program aimed at people who work at massage parlours and other indoor places that are advertised on escort sites. When visiting these places, we focus on your rights at work, establish contact, distibute equipment, and provide information about our services.
- Online: Fri is an outreach program aimed at people who sell or exchange sexual services via advertisements on the internet. Every week we call and send SMS to those who are in Bergen and the surrounding area. FRI sends out information about our services and other important current topics.
