At Aksept, you will meet other people in the same situation as you

Aksept is open from 09:00–20:00 from Monday to Wednesday, and 09:00–15:00 on Thursdays and Fridays. You are welcome to pop in for a cup of coffee, use a computer, or make an appointment for a chat or consultation. Our reception desk is open during the same hours (tel. +47 94 02 06 01).

The first time you visit us, one of our staff will greet you and get to know you. After that, there are no obligations.

WHAT WE OFFER

Open House

Our social hub is open two days a week:

Wednesdays from 16:00 – 20:00.
We serve dinner at 17:00.
The Wednesday gatherings are only open to people who are living with HIV.

Fridays from 10:00 – 14:00.
We serve lunch at 12:00 – and waffles at 13:00.
The Friday gatherings are open to friends and relatives.

We often have social activities on our Open House days, or on other days. See our calendar for more information.

Consultations, conversations and advice

Chats and advice about a range of everyday challenges, and the physical and mental health problems associated with living with HIV. Contact us to make an appointment.

We can also meet outside Aksept.

Courses in health and coping skills

Aksept offers a range of courses for people living with HIV. The courses are linked to Aksept’s vision that everyone should be able to live a good life with HIV in their close relationships and in society. Many of the courses are provided in a language adapted to the language of the participents.

Our services for children and young people

Since 2011, Aksept has been providing services specially for children and young people living with HIV. We are in touch with children and their parents, and organise get-togethers for this group. For older children, we organise an annual autumn get-together over four days. All of these events are for people from all over the country. We pay for travel, accommodation and food. For young adults up to the age of 30 who live in and around Oslo, we have regular social get-togethers every other month. We eat together and do a range of activities. Groups

We have set up special user groups who meet regularly at Aksept or in other locations. These include our MSM group, Male Migrant group and Mothers and Children group. We also provide other services for children and young adults. In the groups, participants share their experiences and help each other with real-life problems. Get in touch if you want to join one of these groups, or would like to suggest starting a new one.

Short stays for people who don’t live in Oslo

The short stays are a great combination of chats, and physical and social activities. The stays are around three days. Travel and accommodation are free. Get in touch for more information and how to apply on tel. +47 94 02 06 01.

Rapid tests for HIV

Aksept provides rapid tests for HIV weekdays from 09:00-14:30 (appointment only), and Tuesdays from 17:00-19:30 (drop-in option)
